Phoenix (April 21st, 2022) – The State 48 FC group and State 48 FC Foundation are pleased to announce their expansion to the North of Phoenix with a brand new State 48 Futbol Club North Division.

State 48 FC offers a youth soccer platform for development and competition that is inspired by modern clubs across the globe while preserving its Arizona proud identity and core values. As one of only independent and genuine clubs in the state of Arizona, State 48FC prides itself on providing youth programs that serve as an introduction to the game of soccer, skill development, and competition platforms that will lead to further education and path to pro opportunities.

State 48 (North) Technical Director Roberto Beall is the son of an American diplomatic family who learned to play soccer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at an early age. Roberto continued his soccer development in the many different countries where he lived across the world, including, Uruguay, Colombia, Nigeria, Panama, Mexico, and Sweden. As a young player, Roberto played for world-famous soccer clubs like Club Atletico Penarol in Uruguay and Malmo FF in Sweden.
Roberto served in the United States Army and was selected for duty at the prestigious White House Communications Agency in Washington, DC. Roberto received his college education at the University of Vermont, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and was named to the conference All-Academic team. A two-time captain of the UVM Soccer Team, he earned All-America, All-Region, and All-Conference honors and was inducted into the UVM Athletic Hall of Fame. Immediately after he concluded his collegiate career, Roberto was chosen to play for the US National Select Team. Roberto played professional soccer in the USISL for the Crusaders, Revelers, Wanderers, and Voltage. He was Vermont’s first-ever professional soccer signing and was captain of both the Wanderers and the Voltage prior to retiring.
Roberto is a well-known and highly respected coach with vast experience at both the collegiate and youth soccer levels. He holds a Brazilian ABTF ‘A’ License as well as the NSCAA National Diploma. His youth coaching experience includes the MLS Real Salt Lake Developmental Staff, US Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff as well as being the Director of Coaching / Technical Director for a number of prominent youth soccer clubs in Phoenix.
Tryouts will be held at Paseo Highlands Park on Monday, May 2nd, May 5th, and May 9th from 6 pm to 8 pm. These tryouts will be for boys and girls from 2004-2012 (group A) and (2013-2017 group B)
