The State 48 FC 2014 Boys Black team played Friday night against a very rugged team, going behind early in the match – but they kept their composure and tied the game with a free kick scored by Jason Noriega, followed by a 2nd goal scored by Jayden Gonzales, leading to a deserved 2-1 victory. In their Saturday match, the team kept the momentum from the night before, winning by the score of 8-0. The strong effort was led by Jason Noriega with 4 assists, with goals scored by Jayden Gonzales (2), Juan Carlos Cardenas (2), Sebastian Flores Villegas (2), Gio Adame (1) and Gio Jarvio (1). Coach Alex Aguilar said βThe team looked very solid on the back line with every player contributing to both wins this weekend.β
Coach Hector Garcia reported βThe State 48 FC 2013 Copper team won their match 3-2 on Friday night with impressive right wing Hector Garcia scoring a hat trick. On Saturday afternoon, the team played an amazing game, winning by the score of 5-1 with goals coming from Daniel Gonzalez (2), Hector Garcia (2) and Elias Martinez (1), keeping the team at the top of the league table. Our MVP this weekend was Yaidel Leyva , who recorded 5 assists in 2 games.β
Coach Rogelio Aragon of the State 48 FC 2017 White team said βThe team keeps playing hard every match β we recorded two great wins on Friday & Saturday in the AZ Academy League. It was a complete team effort, but I want to recognize AJ Cordova & Moy Perez, who have been outstanding and keep improving every single game. I am so proud of our entire team for their dedication & hard work.β
The State 48 FC 2015 White (Verrado) team played in the Phoenix Rising Fall Classic Tournament, competing in the challenging Silver bracket. Coach Saul Bolanos remarked βThese kids look 100 times better than what they looked like six months ago β the team did very well. Standout performances from the weekend include Kaiden Adams with a hat trick and his brother Lucas Adams, who led the defensive effort.β
The State 48 FC 2013 Black team had a good showing in the Phoenix Rising Fall Classic Tournament over the weekend, winning 2 games and losing 1. Coach Rogelio Aragon said βWe played well in many instances. Ricardo Lemus scored some great goals, just on pure effort and not giving up on plays. Nathaniel Zavala did a stellar job controlling the midfield & recovering possession, while Donovan Siercke was excellent with his non stop hustle. Liliana Rivera keeps doing great things on the defensive end with her precise defending & hard work.β
The State 48 FC 2017 Black team had a win and a loss over the weekend. Coach Irwin Moreno said βThey continue to look amazing with their aggressive play and smart choices on and off the ball β excellent job overall!β
