State 48 FC teams had some excellent results this weekend. The S48 FC 2010 / 2011 Boys Black team recorded an outstanding 5-0 victory in league competition, with Emmanuel Petro (2 goals), Aiden Solarzano (1 goal), Adan Vicario (1 goal) and Addis Atturkay (1 goal) on the scoresheet. Coach Saul Bolanos reported that the S48 2016 (Verrado) team won 10-2 in convincing fashion, with Kaden Adams scoring 4 goals as the entire team played extremely well. Coach Zeus Gonzalez said that the S48 FC 2016 White team were dominant in an impressive 13-3 victory. Coach Alessio Altomare indicated that the S48 FC 2015 / 2016 Black team (Verrado) played at a high level in the Phoenix Rising Fall Classic Tournament, with special mention going to Zayden Fultz, Luis Diaz, Connor Candelario and Andrew Lopez, who all performed with distinction. The S48 FC 2008 Boys Black (North) team earned a hard fought 1-0 victory on Saturday, concluding State League play with a perfect 6-0 record for the first part of the season and sitting atop the league standings. Defender Jace “The Sheik” Barlow was named ‘Man of the Match’ for his tremendous performance, helping to preserve the shutout against a strong opponent. Congratulations and well done to all of our State 48 FC coaches and teams for their efforts!
