Coach Rogelio Aragon said “The State 48 FC 2017 White (Avondale) team had another extraordinary run in the Arizona Academy League – we are now the two time, back-to-back Academy League Champions! The weekend contest was another tough and intense battle from beginning to end – it was non-stop hustle and intensity, every minute of every play. We scored first with a goal from Aaron Villagomez off a fine cross from Gyzer Aragon. Then, moments later, the game was tied 1-1, which is the way the half ended. In the second half, Gyzer Aragon scored an outstanding goal to put us up 2-1. Ezra Sanchez scored our 3rd goal with an excellent shot, from another Gyzer Aragon assist as we ended up winning by the final score of 3-2. Tremendous great defensive effort from Johan Gallardo, Jhovanny “Chapo” Soledad, Gyzer Aragon and Moy Perez. AJ Cordova, Kai Gonzalez, Gabriel Valiente, Kylian Benitez and Nathan Palafox-Nagy showed amazing energy, hustle and toughness as the team in kept the momentum in closing out this game. I am very proud of our team!”

I am very proud of these boys – they are really learning how to play as a team. We passed the ball well, demonstrated unselfish play and continue to develop. We went undefeated in the group stage and came up just short in the final match – the future is bright for this team. Always proud to represent State 48 FC!”
Coach Moises Perez said “The State 48 FC 2015 Copper (Avondale) team played its second Open League game, winning 2-1. The game was intense and closely contested from the opening whistle. AJ Nava scored a goal in first half but our opponent scored the equalizer in the second stanza. It really was anybody’s game, but, thanks to our hunger for victory, the team pushed hard for the win. Our energy and desire resulted in a last-minute penalty kick for us that was confidently converted by AJ Nava, who was the key player in this game for us. Everyone on the team was outstanding from beginning to end – I am so proud of this team that keeps fighting through!”
Coach Rogelio Aragon said “The State 48 FC 2013 Black (Avondale) team had an outstanding and gritty performance in their second Open League game. It was an intense game that ended 0-0 at halftime. In the second half we took a different approach and took control of the game – we scored our first goal in with 10 minutes left in the game as Julian Rosales made a great pass for Ricardo Lemus to finish. We sealed the match as Khristopher Aragon played a beautiful through ball for the outstanding Ricardo Lemus, who put away his chance with precision and composure. This game was won because of our excellent team defense, led by the performances of Liliana Rivera, Daniel Olmedo, Kovin Munoz, Julian Rosales and Carlos Medina. They made sure that we kept a clean sheet to get the 2-0 victory!”
Congratulations to all our State 48 FC players and coaches – we are very proud of you! One Family, One Mission!
