State 48 FC Weekly Update – Week 10

Coach Irwin Moreno said “The State 48 FC 2017 Black (Avondale) team had a phenomenal weekend. We played 3 games and won all of them, scoring 12 goals and only allowing 2 for a goal differential of +10. Multiple players rotated offensively and defensively while six different players were able to get on the scoreboard. Great team chemistry and an excellent overall team effort!”

Coach Oscar Macias said “The State 48 FC 2018 / 2019 Boys Black (Verrado) team stepped into their first 7v7 tournament and absolutely inspired everyone watching. Facing older, more experienced players, they competed with fearless confidence and teamwork. They moved the ball with purpose, defended bravely, and showed composure beyond their years. Throughout the day, they received countless compliments from spectators (referees and parents) who were amazed by their skill and heart. The highlight of the weekend was a commanding 7-1 victory in our third match – excellent performance overall.”

Coach Brian Craig said “The State 48 FC 2013 / 2014 Girls Black (Verrado) team took over first place in the league with a hard fought 3-2 win over the previous number 1 team. They keep their undefeated, highlight reel spring season alive. The team’s energy and confidence in each other is contagious!”

Congratulations to all our State 48 FC players and coaches – we are very proud of you! One Family, One Mission!
