Exclusive State 48 FC Weekly Update 1/24

The State 48 FC 2013 Boys Black team played very well this weekend in recording an excellent 6-4 victory. Coach Rogelio Aragon remarked on the impressive display of attacking prowess and precision passing that involved the entire team. Enzo Villafana scored 3 goals, Donovan Siercke added 2 goals and Gavin Comer scored a goal as well. A fine defensive effort was led by Liliana Rivera, Vincent Calderon and Khristopher Aragon, while goalkeeper Alexis Lugo was again in scintillating form. Adrian Guzman, David Dominguez and Noah Anaya controlled the midfield with a strong display, controlling the tempo and playing at a high level. Special mention to Khristopher Aragon for receiving the Principal’s Pride award for outstanding academic achievement (straight A’s) – very well done Khristopher – the entire club salutes for your hard work both in the classroom and on the soccer field! S48 FC (Verrado) Director Alessio Altomare was effusive in his praise for the Verrado teams who participated in the Sandsharks tournament – the 2011 Boys Black team and the 2015 / 2016 Co-Ed team (the highlight was Barrett O’Neill scoring three beautiful goals in an excellent 9-3 victory). The 2015 / 2016 Boys Black (Verrado) team recorded a 5-1 victory over the weekend, as Enzo Altomare (2 goals) Giancarlo Nageia (2 goals) and Connor Candelario (1 goal) led the attack. Congratulations to all our S48 FC teams for their exceptional efforts this weekend!
