This week we will spotlight the State 48 FC 2015-2016 Boys Black (Verrado) team, who won the Rush Cup tournament championship. Coach Alessio Altomare said: “The entire team performed at a high level. We went into this tournament with a ‘team first’ mindset and everyone made a strong contribution. Wyatt Bridge and Luis Diaz built a defensive wall, conceding only 5 goals in 4 games; Zayden Fultz and Connor Candelario gave us great transitional play; Enzo Altomare was there to score when we most needed it; Jose Flores, Giancarlo Nageia and Dominic Johnson were always prepared to give us a spark of creativity; James Kenney, Lucas Adam, Juan Gutierrez and Wesley Larson were always ready when called into action.” Congratulations to the team and coaches Alessio and Peter Larkin-Gero! State 48 FC is very proud of this outstanding accomplishment!
